ORAL - Picture-based


There are three different types of ORAL Stimulus Conversation Picture :

3) Picture-based

Picture-based requires the student to posses great analytical skill. As there are no information provided, it is crucial for students to pay close attention to the details provided. There are a few important things to look out for.



What are some information to look out for ?


- Where does this picture depict?

- Who is/are the main character(s) ?

- What time of the day do you think the picture is being set in ?

- What is wrong in this picture ?



With these information in mind, scrutinise carefully and list some possible questions/themes the teacher will be asking.

When :

- It should be weekends as there are many children


Where:

- Swimming complex


Main character(s):

- The two boys scuttling near the pool

- The lifeguard sitting on the high-chair

What is wrong:

- We should not run near the pool.

- Where are the parents ?

What are the topics involve in this picture ?

- Safety

- Pranking

Possible questions

- Roles of lifeguard/parents at a pool

-Are what the two boys doing wrong ?

- What would you do if you were there ?

- Have you ever witnessed a dangerous act in the pool ?

How should I answer the teacher's question if I want to score A ?


Clearly, you have to answer in complete sentence, good pronunciation of words and provide content which demonstrate your maturity in thinking and reasoning. Also, make a point to show your teacher that you have great analytical skill.



When answering teachers' questions, try to link to good values/morals and end with lessons learnt.
